We call it Recycloponics. Our systems recycle food that is typically wasted in landfills. We provide recycling kits that allow businesses and homes to hygienically store all of their food scraps, including animal products, without generating foul odors or attracting pests. TAIS collects the food scraps and weighs them so recyclers can earn certificates that show how much they've recycled with us. Then we process those food scraps into compost that we use on our farms to grow nutrient rich organic food. Our produce is then returned to the same consumers that generated the food scraps, creating a virtuous cycle that mimics nature. This system sanitizes our kitchens and streets, alleviates our landfill crisis, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and contributes directly to Puerto Rico's food sovereignty.
