MCS Foundation is a (501) 3 corporation dedicated to the improvement of the health and well-being of the communities we serve in the areas of health, education and economic development. We receive funding from the public, which is matched dollar for dollar by MCS Puerto Rico, and put to use directly in the community through grants we provide to valid not-for-profit entities. In 2017 MCS Foundation launched its first campaign involving public fundraising "Green for Puerto Rico"​ for Hurricane Maria recovery. This successful campaign raised $750,000, which was matched by MCS Puerto Rico, and generated a total of $1.5 million for Puerto Rico's recovery. All contributions are tax deductible for Federal Income Tax purposes under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code (IRS). In addition, contributions are tax deductible for Puerto Rico Income Tax Purposes under Section 11011 of the 2011 Puerto Rico Tax Code. The MCS Foundation will donate 100% percent of the funds raised to other tax exempt non-profit organizations focused on health, education or economic development, consistent with its mission.
