After Hurricane María hit Puerto Rico in 2017 and so many people lost their homes, I felt the need to help our island and the local recuperation efforts. I joined one of the biggest international firms known for their disaster recovery work: Ceres Environmental Services. Together, we worked on derby and rubbish removal for 30 municipalities in Puerto Rico. This provided a great opportunity to establish working relationships with mayors and government agencies which, combined with my experience and background, made me believe that my dream could be turned into a reality. I knew that RESolutions could create a space to develop industry leaders that look to face the challenges ahead with professionalism, determination and compromise. Resilient Engineering Solutions was born from that idea. Our organizations believes in creating a safe and resilient Puerto Rico through key alliances that can help us in developing better construction methods for safer housing and solid commercial projects.
